E-Books & Other Downloadable Resources

I tried an e-book which I have done once before. I like the format and it is very easy to read but I do not like to read books online. Maybe it is the librarian in me or the fact that I get easily distracted after reading long bouts of text online. I did really like that you could enlarge the text and bookmark the page. I was also once able to help a customer find a book this way and he was very pleased that he could go home and sit in front of the computer and read this book for a college project. This would be a great thing to do during a lunch break or if you have a wireless internet connection.

I have downloaded an audio book in the past also but I find that due to my home internet connection if the books is available via CD in the collection that is a better alternative for me. I have not downloaded one onto my iPod yet and I would probably be more likely to use it in that way. Audiobooks are very expensive so this is a great way to get the books free and in the format you want them!!!

The 23 Things experience has been great because it forces you to take the time to try out and experience these tools. I know of many of these but never really invest the time in seeing what they can do or how they can enhance my work. I am more of a blog reader than a blogger but this is a fun change!
